It Must Be Friday

What are you doing this weekend? I’m not doing anything exciting, just catching up around the house from being away. What I’d rather do is read all weekend. What about you?

Drop me a note and also let me know if you want to be in the drawing for one of two autographed copies of It Only Takes A Moment I’ll give away by random drawing from today’s comments. Like Weekend Engagement, it’s set in West Virginia. And if that’s not enough fun, check out Writeminded where they’re giving away an autographed copy of my first PAX book, The Beast Within among other things, and check out the hurricane relief auction for Larissa Ione.

  1. Maureen says:

Our family is off to see my parents who we haven’t seen for the summer due to my daughter’s work schedule. Of course, my daughter and a friend popped in on my parents for a couple of days just to make me look like an idiot. Please enter me in your drawing.

  2. StDebb says:

Heck, yeah, put me in the drawing. That’s another one of yours I haven’t read yet.

I need to be knitting this weekend. I’m selling pink slipper socks to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation next month, and I have my first order already, so I need to get going on that.

Reading would be good, too, though. I did a lot of that last weekend, reading a book my kid’s reading in school. Surprisingly, it was very good.

Then again, the floor is filthy, so that needs my attention, too. Maybe the kid would like to earn some extra money . . .

    Debbie

  3. Shari C. says:

Am trying to get all my housework done today so that tomorrow my husband and I can go watch my grandson play football. He is only in elementary school, but they are so much fun to watch. It is supposed to be 90 degrees here this week-end (can you believe it for Minnesota), so I hope to spend some time out in our garden and flower beds getting things cleaned up and ready for Fall; I also intend to spend part of my week-end relaxing on the porch, reading one of my wonderful books I haven’t had a chance to enjoy yet and, of course, talking with our great neighbors…a terrific group of people we have come to know and spend time with.

  4. Toni Anderson says:

I have a busy weekend planned. Kids birthday party, block garage sale, hosting a Norwex party (so I have to clean :yuck: and make some snacks) But Sunday is clear.

Writing when I get the chance, enjoying the sunshine and walking the dogs πŸ˜†

  5. Carol says:

  13. Melissa Marsh says:

Let’s see…I’m doing absolutely nothing. Hope to get some writing in, but otherwise, looks like a relaxing weekend.

  14. Melissa says:

This weekend I plan to lounge about on my sofa and read as well.

 IT ONLY TAKE A MOMENT is probably one of the only books of yours I don’t have. Oops, should I have said that? Would love to add it to my Suz shrine. Yes, the one with your picture and candles and my gong and small offerings in a plate….

I’m off to the lovely metropolis that is…Pittsburgh (to visit the fam and attend a wedding).

But Suzanne, I wanted to mention that at my RWA chapter meeting last night where we rehashed Nationals, several of us said that yours was the most informative workshop we attend – the one we really got the most out of.

    So, Thanks! :bananadance:

  18. Cherlyn says:

Hopefully, this is my last weekend on lockup in my apartment, putting the finishing touches on my second book.

  21. Marcy says:

Wouldn’t you know. ‘It Only Takes A Moment’ was the book I chose when I won previously. :rotfl: It was a good one, too.

Weekends means laundry, but I’ve slowly trained hubby to do it and I end up just having to fold clothes. Other than that, nothing is planned. We’ll just wing it.

  22. Tammy C says:

I’m going to try to spend all weekend reading since I have several reviews that need to be finished!:whip:I also need to get boxes of donations ready to be shipped off. I hope you get time to read also Suzanne! Please enter me into the drawing too.

Contrary to Melissa, IOTA Moment is one of the 3 books of yours that I had before I “met” you on the blog. So I should let others get a copy although I wouldn’t mind getting an autographed one or another Gem. :wigglebrow:

  32. Danica says:

I have no clue what I’m doing, but it better involve reading, sleeping, and hiding from the world. πŸ™‚ It will probably more accurately involve chasing children, dog, and man on some wild goose chase.
