Unless you’re reading this on Tuesday, of course. π Look at the kittens! They’ve got their eyes open now! They’re almost two weeks old and soooo CUTE. And look at my daughter with that tongue sticking out–taking pictures of children is so much fun….. They’re so cooperative! I’m going to put her up for sale. No, I’m going to GIVE her away. Do you know how many times this weekend she asked me to repeat: how many times can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? 1,276,899.

Congrats, Madeline!
Oooh, kittens with their eyes open — so cute! They don’t have “real” ears (all pointing and perky) yet, do they — it’s still ear folds?

We had new kittens born here yesterday!!! Four white ones!!! They are adorable even if they do look like little white mice.
Congrats, Madeline!

Look! Its the incredible two-headed kitten! I honestly have *got* to get my eyes checked. I thought that was one kitty when I first looked. They say the eyesight is one of the first things to go….they even have a name for it. Presbyopia. Pretty fancy word for “the old chick’s eyes are going bad!” :rotfl: Not that I am that old or anything, you understand. Its all that reading in bad lighting. π

I thought my kids were the only who acted like that when I got the camera out. Must be a kid thing.

Cute picture, well even of Morgan, but especially the kittens–just little balls of fur.
I always thought the “riddle” was: “How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? He would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could if a woodchuck could chuck wood.”
I think the camera thing like this is an age thing. My 18-yr-old niece just stares resentfully at the camera nowadays. When she was pre-school, she was adorable.

Ruby–you’ve got it right! I’ve been listening to a 10-year-old’s version for too long…….

Way to go Madeline!!! I think the faces and looks aren’t limited to children. My “adult” children do the same thing. Angie, I have the vision problem but am fixing it tomorrow. I am having a cataract removed from my left eye and in two weeks, the right eye. Then I get rid of glasses. After 50 years I won’t know how to act without glasses. Suz, the kitties sure are cute.

Congrats, Madeline!
The kittens are so cute!
Kids just love to repeat things. I don’t understand that! lol

Well, actually it was meant to be repeated since it’s a tongue twister. Another one, simpler though, is: She sells sea shells by the sea shore.
I know there are others but can’t think of them right now. Actually the above is harder to get right if you’re trying to say it fast. π

oooohhh. I wonder if you can mail me the little gray one??? I had a sweet gray cat for 14 years who looked like that as a baby.
Or, you can Fed Ex me your daughter if you need a break.
NOT!
I am getting too old to expose children to my cranky personality —
but I DO LOVE CATS!

Another note on tongue twisters:
Ever try to say “rear wheel drive” to a mechanic? Almost lost it when the mechanic repeated “what’s real weird” drive?
Answer? I DON’T KNOW!!!!! You’re the nechanic. That’s why I am here!
