Last Day……..

More horses!!! We caught up with these on the dunes right above the water. Someone was asking about the horses–they are known as the wild horses of the Currituck Outer Banks. They’re descendants of Spanish mustangs that made it to the North Carolina coastline in the 1600s as shipwreck survivors.

We went sightseeing in Kitty Hawk to the Wright Brothers Museum. It was a little bit interesting and a lot boring….. That is called being damned with faint praise, LOL. The kids seemed to really enjoy it, though.

Taking this picture was the most entertaining moment at the Wright Brothers Museum for me.

We had dinner out at the Sunset Grille and Bar, a waterfront restaurant on Currituck Sound. I had fried oysters, my favorite!

Evening on Currituck Sound.

Last day! Today is cloudy, but still beautiful. Goodbye from the gorgeous, pristine, quiet Outer Banks of North Carolina! We’ll be driving home tomorrow. I’ll be back and blogging in a few more days!! Thanks for joining me, virtually, on our trip to paradise.

Great pics, Suzanne, esp. the evening one. It’s sad when vacation’s over, but nice to get home, too.

    Have a safe trip home.

BTW, was DH on this trip with you or is he just very camera shy? Your wedding picture is the only one I can remember ever seeing him on.

Think of me please. I’m  (bad chest and head cold.) I’m supposed to be moving in a little over 3 weeks and I don’t know yet where I’m moving to. I was going to settle it this week but just couldn’t get out. Besides I can barely croak.:wigglebrow:
