If you could make one work of fiction suddenly become true, what book would you choose?
I would choose Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. I want to believe that all the bunnies and mice and squirrels in the woods talk and laugh and love., drinking tea from acorn cups and stringing their little laundry on twigs…. Even if they keep hiding it from me.
What would you choose and why?

Hmmm, I was thinking maybe The Cat in the Hat. But then I remembered the movie and thought…no…..
Still thinking.

Me as any heroine in a Nora Roberts book, as long as I get one of her heroes. π

I had something in mind and then I saw Jill’s post. What she said. π

What Jill and Beth said, but to be different, one of Susan Elizabeth Phillip’s books so that I could have a football star as my hero. *sigh*

Harry Potter! And I’d like to be a witch, rather than a muggle. π

The Wizard of Oz.
Just think. Both bad witches are dead. Everything’s in Technicolor. There’s singing and dancing.
There really IS Somewhere Over the Rainbow. How cool is that?

Harry Potter gets my vote, too. If for no other reason so I can save Sirius!
Fickle woman that I am, however, while I have no real desire to be Eve Dallas, I sure wouldn’t mind having her husband. π

Hmm…that’s a toughy. My first reaction was to have Dara Joy’s ‘Mine to Take’ come to life…for purely selfish reasons. (evil grin) I think Chey’s idea of Harry Potter would be wonderful, but I’d have to choose something with Star Wars/Star Trek. I want to be able to fly amongst the stars, visit other worlds, and experience deep space travel.

I’d have to go with Harry Potter as well. Wouldn’t it be great to live in a world where chocolate is a cure-all?

I think I would pick the Nancy Drew books, it would be fun to be Nancy and get to solve all those mysteries and have all the fun she has. She gets to drive a convertible and date Ned to boot! *G* (and no job, she gets to do all this with NO job! lol)

Dana says:
Ooo, Nacy Drew would be cool, but since that idea is taken, I will go with Dragon Flight by Anne McCaffrey. I would love to be a queen dragon-rider and be able to speak telepathically with my dragon. I don’t know if I would like the “thread” though. It’s killer, you know. π

Gosh, so many books to choose from. Probably Anne of Green Gables. Me as Anne, so I can have Gilbert. π
