I’m reading the Dare Me anthology right now with Cherry Adair, Jill Shalvis, and Julie Elizabeth Leto. What about you?

Speaking of reading, two people have asked me in the past week if I read my own books. Why do people ask me that??? Do they think I don’t know how it ends? Now the book I’m writing….. I don’t know how that ends. (Someone tell me.)

And if you are visiting today from West Lee Middle School, yes, I am Ross’s mother. My eighth grader took my latest book to school because his teacher asked for it and his classmates said, prove she’s your mother! Well, there you go. I AM HIS MOTHER. And if you get hold of my book, don’t read chapter 10. You’re not old enough.

The sound you hear is the :::rush::: of eighth grade children flinging themselves upon chapter 10.

  1. Michelle says:

Ha! Too funny. How many phone calls will you get from psycho parents for corrupting the young minds with chapter ten?

  2. kacey says:

::waving:: hi kids! Yes, she’s really Ross’s mom. And I’m sure he said she was an awesome mom too! Right Ross???

    I’m reading Lisa Garnders’s ALONE.

  3. Sheri says:

Right now I’m not reading anything. How sad is that! But I’m going to fix that this weekend. I discovered I still have $15.00 on a gift certificate.

And *g* at the mad rush to chapter 10! I wonder who flipped the pages the fastest?

  4. Jill says:

The other day I found my daughter and a gaggle of her friends huddled around my desk, flipping through an advanced reading copy of my book Seeing Red. A book that Has A lot Of Sex … gasp. I tried not to hyperventilate as I kicked them out of my office …

PS Hope you like Dare Me!

  5. Elizabeth says:

I read Dare Me last week, it was good. Right now I’m reading Secret Agent Sam by Kathleen Creighton, it’s a May SIM.

  6. Amy K. says:

I’m reading COLE. πŸ™‚ I’m not to chapter 10 yet. Will make sure I get there tonight!

  7. trish says:

Hey Suzanne!! Loved Cole. Right now I’m reading Lethal Lies by Laurie Bretton (and really hoping I spelled that right since the book is in the car).

  8. Suzanne says:

Oooh! Thanks, Amy and Trish!!! πŸ˜†

  9. Mary says:

I’m sure now all 8th graders are reading chapter 10!

  10. Sasha says:

Show Her The Money by Stephanie Feagan.

    It’s pretty good. πŸ˜€

  11. Tori says:

I’m finished up Cat On a Hyacinth Hunt by Carole Nelson Douglas last night. Tonight I’ll start Cat In an Indigo Mood.

  12. Danica says:

Er, since I read your book, haven’t read anything. I’ve been too busy sucking down cold medicine and sleeping. Although I’m thinking I might have to see if I can find Dare Me somewhere in the stack that my daughter has so thoughtfully re-arranged.

  13. mary beth says:

I’m reading Secret Agent Sam right now too! It’s fun. Lots of tension. Looks like a set up fro GREAT hero moments.
I just finished The Secret Life of Bees. It was INCREDIBLE!
    About chapter 10. Yum. :-)

  14. Beth says:

Just finished Christmas Bonus, Strings Attached by Susan Crosby.

    Currently reading:
    Maximum Ride by James Patterson
Peach Cobbler Murder by Joanne Fluke
    Goodnight Sweetheart by Suzanne Simmons

  15. Jennifer says:

LOL. I heard the “rush” of eigth graders from halfway across the state. Umm, I’ve ordered this book but it hasn’t arrived yet. I must go directly to chapter ten when I get it. πŸ˜†

I’m reading Lady in Waiting by Kathryn Caskie. The SG-5 books by Alison Kent are next.

  16. Cece says:

*too busy flipping to ch 10 to answer* just kidding!

Okay seriously I have Alone, Secret Life of Bees and Show Her The Money sitting in my TBR pile but right now I’m reading Big Girl’s Don’t Cry (an anthology with our own Monica in it πŸ™‚ )

  17. kate, again says:

I’m reading Alison Kent’s Larger than Life (that I won simply by being obnoxious in Shannon’s blog). OOoo that woman can write!!

  18. kate, again says:

ohh but stay away from Larger than Life, you 8th graders. It’s a Brava

  19. Alyssa says:

I’m reading Truth of Dare by Jo Leigh. I’ve just started it, so I don’t know what chapters to warn children away from.

  20. Alyssa says:

Um, that should be Truth OR Dare. πŸ™„ My fingers got a little ahead of me.

  21. Sharon Barker says:

This is for the Mothers Day contest.

I am least like my mother in temperment. She was very easy-going, but I have a bit of a temper.
