Things Are Starting Off Right

Plan for the day:

1) get ALL of my children on their respective school busses without running through the streets in my underwear–check.

2) input final revisions on synopsis–not yet but I WILL.

3) mail proposal–not yet, but as God is my witness, this proposal will never go hungry again….or something like that. It’s going in the mail today.

The house remains only half reroofed. Will the half-nakey roofers come today? Wait–it’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a SINGLE CLOUD IN THE SKY, SO MAYBE NOT. You know, IT MIGHT RAIN.

Don’t forget the seventh installment of my free eHarlequin online PAX read — Hot Target! Click on the green “read” button at the bottom and scroll down to Hot Target. This is the second to last installment! TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!

Lists, lists, lists. I hate them, but they are a necessary(as far as I’m concerned) part of life. Good Luck checking everything off.:wall:

  12. Joely says:

Good luck with that synopsis! I’m loving the story–only one more week and I’ll be put out of my misery of waiting!!

  13. Jill says:

I’m going to have a roofing crew here this week too, unless the 5% chance of rain scares them away. Babies …

I hope the crew of HOT roofers show up today instead of the tepid ones.

    Have a good day, Suz

  16. ValMarie says:

Yay for to do lists. I’ve made one for today as well: a combination of house stuff, writing stuff, and helping my husband get ready for school (he teaches music).

We’ll see how much of it gets done.

*waves pom-poms to cheer you on in your productivity*

Good luck with the synopsis and proposal!

  22. Carol Burnside says:

  26. ruby55 says:

Huh, I’m getting fed up with this. I commented and the computer froze again. It happens on average 2-3 times a day. So I have to start all over again.

Maybe the roofers aren’t supposed to come today so that you have peace and quiet to get the synopsis done. 😀

“Hot Target” is getting really hot with Mom willing to sacrifice herself for her daughter. That’s what mommies and daddies do.

According to my siblings, since I don’t have any kids, I’ve never had to make any sacrifices. Say what? From the age of six until I left high school I made sacrifices for THEM–without ever thinking that was what I was doing. I had to be “vice-mom” whenever my mother was not around; I had to spend about a month in a quarantine hospital over Christmas, no less, because they feared that my baby brother next after me might catch my scarlet fever; I sacrificed time to change their smelly diapers, as well as those of their kids; pick up crying kids–well, moms know the routine–and they’ve forgotten everything. :loser: Oh well, I’ll survive even this.

  27. Melissa Marsh says:

First day of school today for us – I wish they could ride the bus. 😉 I know I had to!
Hope your day went well, Suzanne!

  28. Michelle says:

Did you mail the proposal? Hope you had a great day. And Hot Target is such a fabulous read. 🙂

  29. Amy K. says:

Good luck on all of it! (And congrats on the no-underwear-flashing.) :bananadance:

  30. Mary says:

Where are you? When you don’t blog, the world is askew!!

  31. Suzanne says:

I had a ton of trouble getting online this morning!

    Thanks for missing me!
