Suzanne, I SO appreciated your demo on the “food Processor” I am going to buy a squeezo and get down to it. The Rum Raisin Apple Butter sounds divine. I do a Pear Butter with Balsamic that is pretty good!

:happyflower: We love apple butter! I made a batch from our apple trees a couple weeks back and the house smelled wonderful, it is a fragrance that can not be duplicated.
There is nothing nicer on these cool mornings that a platter full of homemade biscuits with applebutter. Yum!

Debbie and ibpallets, I couldn’t find it at first, but it is actually called Rum Raisin Apple Butter at FBR. Looks and sounds really good doesn’t it?

Yep, I have some lovely dark rum that I make it with, but any flavorful alcoholic beverage would work I’m sure. It’s very little and I’m sure it evaporates out a lot so I doubt there’s any actual alcoholic content in a jar of it… If you have strong objections to using the actual ‘booze’, I’m sure I’ve seen artificial flavorings, just don’t use too much!
