This is Rotunda (aka Nutmeg). She’s been pregnant for approximately a year and a half. Or at least that’s how long she’s looked like this. We’re expecting her to deliver any year now.
Or blow up.
Seriously, she eats just the same as all the other goats. She claims it’s her thyroid…..
P.S. I don’t really think Nutmeg is pregnant.
P.P.S. I don’t really think she has a thyroid problem.
P.P.P.S. I don’t really think she’s going to blow up.
P.P.P.P.S. But she might!

Heidi says:
maybe water bloat? all of the goats, included my goat Gilligan, got “watered” the morning of the county fair by a well-meaning young individual who shouldn’t have been allowed in the goat pens, and that’s what they looked like! It was a scandal in the ag barn.

Shelley (eastern Roane County) says:
Suzanne that is too funny. My little Ginger who would be Nutmegs first cousin looks JUST like that and is the only one of my little Nigerians that does. She is also my most petite Nigerian in stature and frame. I’m hoping that means good milking ability someday.
