The Big Melt

It’s horribly muddy out there, but we don’t care!
It’s melting!!!

Mud never looked so good! :snoopy:

  2. brookdale says:

    Yay for mud!
We have a long ways to go here, just got another 5″ of snow on top of all the rest. But it’s only Feb. and still winter. Snowmobilers and skiers are happy!
Wow, Dumplin looks as big as her mother now. How much longer will you have her? (Dumplin I mean)

“The Big Melt” sounds like the name of a sandwich, maybe a ham and cheese one fried in butter. I’m guess I’m hungry! I’m glad your snow is almost gone.

  4. jodiezoeller says:

Glad you’re getting a break from the snow! It’s supposed to be in the high 70s today in Dallas. Weird weather!!!

  5. MrsNutMeg says:

We are enjoying the melting as well! :woof: My dogs come in with all four feet encased in balls of mud, we put them straight in the pen and break off the mud once it dries… lol

  6. Joell says:

It is melting here too, the sun is shinning and there is a good wind blowing. We have had a total of 55 inches of snow thus far this season. Tomorrow we are forcasted to have thunderstorms and rain —really!?
It is nice to see the sun again, I had so much energy this morning, I am planning Spring time in my head. :happyflower:

If you’re melting today, it’ll probably start here soon (Eastern Pa.). Yay! :snoopy:

This has been so endless. A week ago we had about 6 inches on the ground, then we got 19″ on top of that, then we got another 5″, then another 4″, then 1″, then today we had freezing rain. Water started pouring in one of our upstairs windows from a giant icicle that had grown to attach itself to the window lintel without our knowing it. When we broke the icicle off the noise of its crashing down scared the you-know-what out of our poor kitty, who ran yowling into the deepest corner of “his” closet. He’s still in there.

One of our local newspaper columnists, who is as Irish as Irish gets, has taken to writing limericks about the winter weather. I think he is slowly going insane.

I sure hope the melting is on the way!

My front yard and driveway look like your barnyard. I would *almost* rather see it still frozen! I’d just like for things to dry out a bit around here….no rain…no snow for about a month.

  9. jodiezoeller says:

Send us some of the rain or melting snow. Texas is still in drought.
