I’m in New Orleans at a bookseller trade show where I will be talking to booksellers and signing advance copies of my book.
But that’s for tomorrow! Today, I’m eating my way up and down Bourbon Street. Kinda like a progressive dinner. (You ever done a progressive dinner? It’s where there’s one course at each person’s house, and you drive from house to house, to course to course, for the meal. It’s kinda strange…. I’m not a fan, really, but we were a member of a church in Texas once that liked to do progressive dinners.)
Anyway! This is so much more fun! From restaurant bar to restaurant bar. I like this kind of progressive dinner much better!
Fried oyster loaf.
Gator bites:
Crawfish cakes:

I gotta go eat some more! See ya!

I am from north Louisiana. Eat some bread pudding from the Gumbo Shop on St. Peter St. You won’t be sorry!

Suzanne, who is the woman in blue at the table. I have to tell you she isn’t me, but she looks EXACTLY like me 25 years ago. She could be a niece or the like.
Enjoy your trip. I loved New Orleans.
