The past several days this week, everything melted. There were even bits of green on the ground.
I was so excited. The driveway dried up and I was parking up by the house again. I could go anywhere I wanted. I went to Wal-Mart! Then I drove back and forth to Nebraska three or four times! (I’m just kidding. I don’t think I’ve ever been to Nebraska, but if I’ve ever been there, it wasn’t in the past week.)
The snow was ALL GONE.
It was practically like SPRING! My beloved!!! My dearest lover, the flower of my life.
Then.
It started snowing again.
Jack and I agree that it’s quite cruel.

We had no snow on New Year’s Day….now we have 8 inches on the ground and it just keeps snowing. I thought for sure it was a sign we were having an early spring, but I guess not 3 months early! LOL!

Anytime you want to come visit Nebraska, you have a place to stay (if you don’t mind sleeping on the couch…). 😀

I know it is 50 degrees here in West TN but we have “March” winds today. I don’t think you could even fly a kite the wind is so strong. The weather man is calling for a good chance of snow on Sunday or Monday and it is going to be soooo cold.

I’m hoping we get some snow on Monday. In GA, we all just stay home & play…can’t go to school or work in the snow. (tee-hee). I’m hoping to have a quilting day while I watch the pretty flakes fall. That would be sew nice. =)

Of course, it didn’t stay very long. But tonight and tomorrow night, it’s supposed to snow. Mon. and Tue. do look like a winner on it accumulating! We can only hope!

We received a few inches of snow right after Christmas, which was fine, but, what followed was NOT. Temps dropped to -12 at night and has never gotten above 15 in the day time. I will take snow anytime over this cold.
Would you perhaps be interested in a trade?
PS when is the wee donkey giving birth????

This is our 5th day of freeziing fog. Over the mountain the sun is shining. The fog is only about 100′ high. It is ghostly and cold! It looks like snow, everything is covered in spikes of ice. Fences, barbed wire, trees, etc. It is bautiful but I would so dearly like it to look like March. Know it will come. Tomorrow the forecast says possible snow. Stoke up the fire!

I live near Las Vegas, NV- but I’m from Michigan. I have been out here in the desert for 7 years and I still cannot get used to the lack of four seasons. However, I cannot complain that it feels like March out here!

Yesterday, I saw geese flying north. I live in western N.Y. Some geese winter over but this was a skein of about 20. Does that mean Spring is coming early?
