Buy me online on Cyber Monday! If you already have a copy, remember that it will make a great Christmas gift for family and friends. It’s more than the story of my adventures in country life, it’s also a cookbook and craft book, indexed with full tutorials and photos of the animals as well as recipes and crafts. You can find out more about the book here.
My book is available from all kinds of online retailers, including the big guys, Amazon and B&N, in hardcover or digital format. Shop at home today for Cyber Monday–but, if you have a favorite independent bookseller near you, my book is an Indie (Independent Booksellers) pick for December, which means it will be promoted throughout independent bookstores across the country and you can always pick it up in person at your corner store, too! (It’s DECEMBER. How did that happen?)
You can still get a first chapter excerpt here: Get the first chapter!

Suzanne, I read your book a couple of weeks ago and just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it! Your website has inspired and entertained me for years, so it was a special bonus to get all the extra goodies you packed in the book!

I just finished your book a week ago and I can hold the words back no longer. First, I didn’t want it to end. I have been a fan of CITR for years daily, but your book was the best!! And second, I just have to say that it makes me disgusted how 52 treated you. That he stood at that gate in the dark hearing you scream, knowing you were hurt and did nothing, tells me he is a sinister, dangerous creep!! I am so glad you and your family are away from him. I pray that he lives the rest of his life alone. Please forgive me if I have offended you in any way, I usually don’t speak up, but I just had to get that out. I love your blog, your book, recipes and everything!! God bless you! :happyflower:

I got mine on my Nook, and that’s how I ended up on your blog. I know, I frequently do things backward. And I just want to say that your story is very inspiring. I’m a middle-aged mom stuck in suburbia with a less-than-enthusiastic husband, biding my time until finances allow my dream to come true. So, it was very encouraging to hear how you are managing your farm essentially by yourself. Blessings…
