Cow Report

The cows were successfully moved yesterday! Everything that could go wrong went wrong, and then everything magically went right. (Yesterday was truly my lucky day.) All’s well that ends well. Glory Bee was as uncooperative as could be expected, but as you can see here, she did end up on the trailer. I will have the details tomorrow, but for now I’m going to enjoy my day with all three of my kids. I just wanted you to know that they are with the bull! Yay! And a special huge thank you to SarahGrace and her family and neighbor farmer (the bull owner), particularly her husband, who is in the Air Force, and gave up some of his precious weekend time home with his family to help me.

Yay! Look at those faces. BP has that ‘here I go again’ look, while GB has those huge ‘oh mommy, what happened’ look.
Glad you got them moved. Now, enjoy the day with your children. You have accomplished a tremendous amount, now is the time to rest for a bit.

Milking GB; now there is a thought to make one shudder. So glad that the move went well although GB was her usual cantankerous self. Good news about the funding. Life is being good to you Suzanne. Enjoy the weekend with the kids, relax and have a good time. :snoopy:

I’m thinking a strong stanchion for milking them should be reasonably high in the priority list… in an area that she can’t avoid capture, so you can start feeding them in it, and get GB used to going in it and getting feed and being handled NOW! Hmmmm… legitimate business expense since in order to have farmstays, and classes on care of milk cows as well as getting milk to make cheese with means you gotta be able to get the cow milked! LOL :moo: :cowsleep:

They look like little ANGELS on the trailer.

I’m going to start praying NOW, you know,
so I have lots of time for LOTS of praying,
that Glory Bee takes to Motherhood and
    milking like a pro.

BP is such a sweetheart maybe being a
mother will snap GB right into following
    in her footsteps.

Great for you to have your kids all home
at the same time !!! ENJOY !!!

I have been reading you blog since I found it about a week ago, from one end to the other… I would litterally sell my soul to have a place like yours.
I grew up with animals, and always thought I would end up on a farm, but a disabled husband, and immense debt has made it an impossible dream.
So I sit and I read, and I dream myself away.
Thank you so much for a wonderful blog!
