  1. WildTrails says:

Time for some hot apple cider – fortification optional (or not). 😀

  2. nanaK says:

Well, at least you have a Barn! And it’s full of hay.!!
Time to get out the comforters, “snuggy” PJ’s, flannel shirts, heavy warm boots, and get that wood chopped & ready for the woodstove. Hopefully all your livestock have shelters. Do you wrap your hot water heater? We do, and we live in California:-) Oh, don’t forget the anti-freeze in your SUV (car in disguise).

  3. whaledancer says:

Perfect weather for baking and cooking stews and crocheting and drinking hot cocoa. All things cozy.

  4. brookdale says:

Brrrr! That chicken looks “madder than a wet hen” as my father used to say.

  5. Joell says:

We had a very cold rain last nigh and the grass was white with frost this morning, tonight more rain mixed with snow showeres, I love the first cold weather of the season it makes me thankful for where I am.

  6. nyfarmmom says:

Was a good day to make pot roast, do some canning and for the first time make Grandmother’s Bread, I must say I threw all my other bread recipes out. Two loaves did not last the night…sigh I’m baking again in the morning, stay warm ya’ll… :hungry:

  7. holstein woman says:

We have had warm weather here for two weeks and no changes coming for at least ten days.

  8. Diane says:

Damp and cold here too. Time to turn on the furnace. 🙁 But I do enjoy hanging out in my sweats and pj’s after work. Good time to bake and cook too.

  9. JudyT says:

The same here. Perfect days for hot soup, and curling up by the wood stove to a good book or some knitting.

  10. silentgoddess says:

Started your book last night!! I love the graphics (red chickens and wing-dings sprinkled throughout). I can hardly wait to go to bed and read tonight!
I feel a little voyeuristic reading the book. I feel like I know you from years of reading your blog and that I am reading something very personal. It is strange, but obviously WON’T stop me from finishing the book 8)
