Yesterday was Morgan’s 18th birthday. She can write her own school excuse notes and take herself to the doctor’s office to finish up her shots for college. Ross suggested she go buy some cigarettes. (He was JUST KIDDING.) I was glad she had one of her brothers here for her big birthday, and one of her best friends (my other daughter Jennie) managed to make it down our road to spend the night with her. She requested sour cream chicken enchiladas for dinner, and brownies instead of cake. There was no school–it was another snow day here.
It was a great day. Until I realized that I didn’t know when I was going to spend her birthday with her again. This time next year she will be in Morgantown at WVU….. Stop the madness.
They do manage to grow up. You are going to be lonely when she heads off to college.
