This was yesterday:
Seconds before this photo was taken, the Giant Puppy was giving the Crooked Little Hen her due and allowing her to eat first from the dog food bowl. Then Casper arrived.
He has no manners.
Yesterday afternoon and evening, we got about four inches of snow.
And look where BP is!
Back in BP-land! I’ll have a big update later today. The dinosaur has left the goat yard.

I love that Clover! She’s saying to BP, “Don’t come back now, ya hear!) 🙂

Love the pic of BP in the snowy bushes!
I think we’re getting your snow now. It’s been coming down all morning, they say we might get up to 7″ by tomorrow.
A good excuse to not have to go out and GO SOMEWHERE!

Love your post. I have a recommendation to make to you Suzanne. I am a former teacher and I have spent much of the last eight years cataloging the children’s books for our local library. Some are really great, but others I have to wonder how they ever got published. I know that young children LOVE animal stories. My 2 year old grandson loves to sit on my lap and look at your animal pictures and he keeps saying “show more, grandma”. Now, you have really cute stories, gorgeous animals, and fabulous photographs of them. You need to be writing books for children about life on your little farm. I think they would be a big hit. I would buy them and I think a lot of others would too. Please give it some serious cosideration. Think of it as your blog in book form. Merry Christmas!

Rosemeri B.. you are SO right!
Your photos are beautiful Suzanne. I am almost painfully envious as it has been years since I’ve seen snow and I am missing it in the worst way. I don’t even know if I would still enjoy it as much as I did (it’s been about 20 years since I was in proper snow), but I want to try!! Anyway, I am hoping that cold front will come South – pronto as we had a couple of nice cool days, but it’s back to almost 80 degrees:(

I second Rosemeri’s comment! I considered having a ‘blog book’ made at one of the blog-background sites, but my blog is SO long that it would end up a blog “library”! Perhaps one day ~ an ‘abridged’ version! 😀
I too love chronicling my life in the country, with my animals, in photos and blog posts. It gives me something to do when buried under A FOOT of snow, as I am now… :happyfeet:

Snow already! We had haul and some flakes on Thanksgiving, but it didn’t actually amount to anything. Several inches for you though… Let’s hope this isn’t a sign for the season to come (I’m being blissfully ignorant about your woolly worm stripe post!!!)

I am looking forward to hearing about BP and her BABY.
Milking won’t be so much fun in that white stuff.
I second the suggestion for a series of children’s books.

Well, lower Michigan may have been spared, but Oh, My, we in upper Michigan got dumped with a foot on Thursday. It still looks like a winter wonderland. It was beautiful but very heavy.

It is really beautiful, I just don’t want anymore here in Oregon. Ours is so wet it is hard to drive in and I don’t like to deal with the freeze and work with the animals watering.
I love to see all your animals even in the snow, but I always keep you in my prayers for God to take care of you.
