I did finish one baby blanket before 52’s daughter, Kate, had her twins by c-section today at 8:30 a.m. She was originally scheduled to have the babies at 10. If I would have had till 10, I could have made the other blanket. Losing that hour and a half wrecked everything. You can’t put that kind of pressure on me, people! I give up!

Anyway! I finished one! What more could you ask for?

Oh, two.

They can share it!!!!

P.S. The babies are named John and Julia and they are doing just fine!

Love the color of the blanket! My mom is on twin baby blanket duty as my best friend from high school is pregnant with a boy and a girl. I nominated mom since I have yet to conquer the crotchet needle. Congrats!!

Wow! I was thinking JULY! Should have realized they would be here earlier! Congrats!

  7. Sheila Z says:

They will sleep better cuddled next to each other for the first few weeks, they can share the blanket (love the colors). Better hurry though and get the 2nd blanket done before winter when they will be needing to keep warm. Congratulations 52! Being a grandparent is nice, much more fun than being a parent.

What a pretty blankie! Well, being twins, I guess they better get used to sharing. :snuggle:

Perfect! Congrats to everyone! Welcome to this world John & Julia!

Of course you planned it that way, you knew they would be tiny little ones at first and would prefer being close and sharing… of course you did.

  11. Zusiqu says:

I think you should make more blankets because doing so forces you to sit. I think you need to sit a wee bit more.

  12. TinaBell says:

Ohhh babies! Say congratulations to 52 for me, would ya? I love the colors of the blanket; good job!

  13. Karo says:

WELCOME John and Julia.Congratulations to Kate and her husband, and 52 the new grandpa. Suzanne, they will snuggle fine in the one blanket. They have ‘shared space’ for this long… a little while longer won’t hurt. Though, if you don’t get the second one started soon..they may be fighting over who gets to take the ‘one’ off to collage. Don’t follow in others footsteps..it’s embarrassing. You know we need to have pictures.

Congratulations! What fun to have grandbabies to visit the farm! And lucky John and Julia to have a farm to visit. Now get busy and finish that other blanket. The first one is very pretty, BTW.

  17. Rose C. says:

Congrats on the double blessing for you and your family!
