  2. jane says:

my sister and brother in law are vegetarian. there are some great dishes to prepare and some great restaurants in Houston at least. Just went this past week and had wonderful food – great veggie dishes, yelloe tomato sandwiches with mozerella cheese and spicy mayo, hummus with olive oil, cardemon tea, roasted vegetables, lentel soup – really good things.

  8. Miss Becky says:

There’s a huge bottle of Veganaise in my fridge, as I’m making the transition to a vegan diet. I find it all over the place here in southeastern WI, but believe me, a little goes a long way. I suspect it will take me a good long time to use up that bottle.
Since you’ve been posting about Weston’s girlfriend being a vegan, I have begun my own journey to veganism. I’ve lost weight and generally feel so much better not eating animals and animal products. The difference is astounding! Thanks for posting the vegan recipes Suzanne!

  10. Sara says:

Hey! That brand of almond milk is familiar (Husband + milk = bad, BAD gas…. just… yeah.) Never expected to see that here!

  12. Nancy says:

The vegan girlfriend! My fridge looks like that when relatives from Maine are here!

  13. Barbee says:

Oh, I remember now, you and her mom are “dating” again. So much effort to get from one house to the other, she might as Well stay awhile, I think. Hope this means you will have a little extra help around the place. Must be fall break for WV schools.

  16. Jane says:

It’s so weird to browse around reading old posts, only to see an old comment of mine and wonder what the heck was I talking about! I made no sense!

  17. SuzzyQ says:

There are many vegan blogs that are fantastic! They make the recipe and many times will post pictures and truthfully state the results they got. I really like reading them because they take some of the mystery out of veganism. They will usually say this worked and this didn’t, as “I would never make this again and you shouldn’t even attempt it. Don’t waste your money.” I appreciate their honesty and experimentation so I don’t have to waste time & $$ on a recipe that didn’t turn out.
veganyumyum.com, veganlunchbox.com,vegandad.blogspot.com are just a few that I really liked.

  18. Sheila says:

I’m seriously considering switching to a vegan diet , and I know that with hubby and son both being carnivours thats gonna be hard LOL (any advice) :).

  19. stoermmy says:

I recently switched to vegan in order to keep my gall bladder from throwing fits….got the book Engine 2 Diet….figured if this guy could convert an entire group if fire fighters then his recipes must be good…so far every single one of them is a keeper… I suggest y’all look it up, even if you are NOT vegan! They are that good!
