Too well, I’m thinking.
At least when it comes to the weeds. And the oregano.
As you can see, I’ve barely made a dent harvesting from my giant oregano bush. Soon, I’ll need to give it a good haircut and do some dehydrating. All this constant rain has it going crazy.
But my dill is up!
And my flowers are doing very well in the pot.
That’s my sweet potato vine that I laboriously grew inside, starting in JANUARY. I meant it for my hanging baskets, but I only ended up with two plants so I put them in with the flowers here. I haven’t even planted my hanging baskets yet. ACK!

….And hey, we are *supposed* to have a really good weekend in this area. Warm, sunny :sun: , but good grief, always a slight chance of rain. This dreary, wet weather keeps me in a feel bad rut and I hope it goes away very soon.

I tried to grow sweet potatoe vines this winter but made the mistake of planting the potatoes in a large crock that sits on the floor in my living room and my dog dug the potatoes up and ate them. I forgot all about it until I saw your picture…yours are beautiful and thanks for the chuckle.

Is that a HUGE rosemary plant to the left of the oregano in your first picture? If so, how I envy you! I can’t keep rosemary growing from one year to the next here in eastern PA. And they take SOOOOO long to grow that one year isn’t enough!

My oregano is huge,too, but spread out, not a tall bush. There’s basil in with it too…it took over the basil’s area!

Mine managed to jump 100 feet into a pot of mint somehow. Mystery.
I just havested 6 cookie sheets full and you can’t even tell I was there.
Why don’t blueberries and raspberries grow like that?

Wow! I agree about the rosemary. I have to buy new rosemary plants each year. BUT I’ve got a ton of mint and strangely my chives have been spreading and going crazy. I have lots and lots of chive blossoms. If it were later in the year I’d be ready to make chive vinegar and slip some beautiful blossoms into a pretty bottle and add the chive vinegar and seal it up for Christmas presents. Sigh. Not quite have time for that yet. Herbs wait for no one.

My oregano has gone bonkers this year too. And the thyme! It’s already blooming but only on one side, very strange. My basil didn’t come back and I’m stunned about that one….The mint, all 4 varieties, is thriving with a vengeance!! I’d better get harvesting–already!

When oregano takes over the world, it can be divided if it is a couple years old or so.
I lost my rosemary this year. I grew it in a container so could bring it in before frost but it got so huge this past year that the only place I could find for it was in the basement under a grow light. I think it got some kind of fungus from the moisture in the basement.
I haven’t found a replacement for that or my thyme around here.
