Guess who’s back?
We took Glory Bee to the meadow bottom fields Saturday evening. By Sunday afternoon, she was back, lurking behind the propane tank by the house.
Assisted by a few crackers, we got her back on the lead and back down to the meadow bottom.
She’d pushed over the fence in one place, and EVEN AS IT WAS BEING REPAIRED, she got frustrated by said repair and pushed down another place in the fence then leaped over it like a goat. She went right back up to the house. We opened the gate to the goat yard and she galloped right in. Apparently, that’s where she wants to live.
And so it was.
The End.

I just wrote on BP’s vacation post that you have bonded with her, and will probably do the same with GB – only to find out that you already have!!! Your animals are wonderful!
Hugs to both beautiful cows….

Okay, just finished reading that adorable story about sweet, tractable mom cow. Now this stubborn little thing is up to her antics. All I can say is, she must take after her dad.
But, I do concur with the comments above. You’ve bonded. :moo:

Bless the little girl, she loves you.
I had one that when I sold him he would jump the fence instead of walking around the open gate at the other end of the field. :cowsleep:

:sun: There’s nothing that warms a momma’s heart like when one of your little ones (even if their tonnage exceeds yours)gives you that “waiting at the door of playschool to be picked up” look. She loves you, even when she’s a bad baby, she love you! :snoopy:

Well I’ll be darned. She loves you, that’s for sure. Is living in the goat yard something that’s feasible in the long-term? Maybe when she gets older she won’t need to be so near her people-Mama. Poor baby was lonely! Who’s hooves are those in the background?

Those are Glory Bee’s back hooves. She was sitting down kinda folded up like that.

Oh dear. Sounds like you have a fencing emergency there. How do you drive posts with all those trees? Don’t you hit roots all the time? I’ve driven my fair share of metal t-posts and it’s so frustrating when I hit a root and have to start over.

Would she stay in BP land until BP comes back? She would be close to everyone and not eating the goats lunches

Jack and Pokey stubbed GB and she left the bottom lands in a huff. Her feelings were hurt and she was thinking there just might be cookies closer to home.
