This picture makes me want to cry. I’m soooo ready for warm weather to return, as we’re sitting here at 13 degrees. I think we should institute mandatory hibernation through January and February at least. 😆
I keep telling myself that the Solstice is only a few days away. After that the days start to get longer again and that is the first step toward the return of spring.
Me too! I feel your pain! Everything here is covered with snow and the temps are getting down there now,13c tonight. I will have to turn on the heat lamp in the chicken house.
Every morning I get out of bed squealing because it’s so cold, and my husband laughs and tells me to get tough. Good thing there’s Christmas preps to take my mind off the chill. And that’s a good point, Heidi, on getting past the solstice. Something to look forward to.
For now I’ll just think warm thoughts. And have something warm to drink.
But robust SUMMER will come back, preceeded by dainty SPRING and followed by elegant AUTUMN, all grounded by austere WINTER.
Every season has it’s own beautiful memory and we are blessed to remember!
Hang in there, Suzanne….it will come back for you!
I like the snow when it’s out in the country and it’s still white! I hate when it turns black from the cars and the mail man cuts through my yard! It has to be perfect snow! I am hoping to see some pefect WV snow this weekend! I would be happy if it was warm though!
:woof:
I love the spring too, but the winter is so beautiful.
This time of the year give you a bit of a chance to stay indoors and create good things from your kitchen, or just relax a while in front of the fire.
Do you EVER have a day when you just want to same in you jammies and relax???

We have been below zero, too. Maybe 6 inches of snow on the ground. I keep pictures of my flower gardens on my locker at work to look at. Sigh.
