In Tears

If you’ve never had someone paint custom personalized art for you, let me tell you it is a very emotional experience. This afternoon, I went downstairs and just started CRYING when I saw my door-opening cat, Spice, in a tree on the wall.

Kelly Walker and her art student, Linda, are working away on this mural at the foot of the steps. Really, it’s barely just begun–mostly background work done. The detail work will be in the animals painted into the picture. But already……. IN TEARS HERE!

And there is so much more. A beautiful shelf with herbs painted over the stove, and other things still to be started. Stay tuned–I will be posting photos!

Oh, how beautiful! I love custom murals in the house…my friend’s mom painted her room with a life-sized mare and foal behind a fence, in a pasture. I can’t wait to see how Clover and the rest look in their portraits!

Thanks everyone. I can’t tell you how much fun Linda and I are having here painting, learning about the animals, making cheese, etc. Do we really have to leave when we are done???

This is wonderful! I love the “window” frame, with tree branches reaching outside – can’t wait for more pictures!
