I didn’t want to take the Christmas lights down. I love how they make the porch look like an outdoor restaurant bar or cafe at night. I like the muted light. Just enough, not too much, subtle but pretty. But it’s June…..
Okay, and they burned out. Or they would have never come down, I’m tellin’ ya, NEVER!

Burned out, eh? Have you looked for some puppy chew marks on the wiring?

LOL I love Christmas lights for muted light! I guess that’s why I have about a thousand strung from the rafters in my basement! Thats where I do laundry, stoke the fire, many projects and spend time attempting some version of organization…the lights burn year round down there! I’m sure they make the basement feel happy too!

They SELL lights at this time of year, too, but they’re labeled deck lights or umbrella lights and cost more than “Christmas” lights!!!!
And I agree with princessvannessa….bet there’s some chew marks throughout! Has his hair started curling at all!?!?!?!?!

Mine stay up all year and I turn them on whenever the mood strikes. In the other end of my room, near the fireplace, where I have beams across the ceiling, I have blue and white lights strung up with one of the holiday timer deals that fades them in and out for hours every night. Looks like the night sky when all the interior lights are off :dancingmonster: ..Makes me HAPPY!!

Yes, get some other kind of patio lights, there are all kinds at the store. You might even find something you like better or just something different for a while. It’s a pain to hang them though! :ladybug: :ladybug: :ladybug: :ladybug: :moo:

Oh No, tell me you aren’t one of those houses that I cast a disapproving look at every single time I drive by? BUT it’s different if you like having them up vs. not having enough energy to pull them down! 😆

:sun: Kindred spirits, we are. I love the summer lights – they remind me of fireflies. I may just put some up tonight!
