Today is the first day of school in Roane County.
It’s Morgan’s senior year, so this is her last first day of “regular” school. Next year, she will be starting college at WVU. I always take a photo of her on the first day of school, but she spent the night at a friend’s house last night so she had someone else take these photos and she texted them to me. I couldn’t miss a picture on her last first day!
And here she is with her own car, ready to drive off to school with her brand new drivers license.
Sigh…. But I’m so proud of her!

My goodness Roane County sure started back early this year. Are they predicting lots of snow days? I take my son off to college in Columbus on September 2nd and I am not looking forward to that. Proud but sad.

I think most of the counties are starting early this year. They are heading toward a “year round” schedule. My husband teaches middle school math, they have been there all week, kids first day today. Morgan is very pretty. Glad she got her other eye back. 🙂

This last first day and first car will be one she will always remember! Probably the car will take precedence over school.
Our daughter does the same thing…always a picture of the first day of school, freshman year this year.

Hey let me know in advance where you are so I can polish up on my defensive driving skills when I meet you on the road. Good luck and show up your crash happy brothers by good driving. I will miss our trips to McDonalds. I still give snow driving lessons for pepperoni rolls or cookies. Goooooooo Morgan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
