Little Helper

Morgan has been such a good little helper since we moved here. I’ve been really proud of her.

(Notice she has everyone’s attention in that photo! Might have something to do with the bale of hay.)

  1. holstein woman says:

She is such a wonderful girl. You have alot to be proud of! She is beautiful, talented and willing to be momma’s girl.

  2. yvonnem says:

I’m glad she is so happy with the new farm! It is a beautiful, functional place. :snoopy:

  3. bonita says:

She will always be your ‘little girl,” but in this context she is your invaluable helper, cheerful helper, hopeful helper, ready helper. . .
Just like her mom, she’s taking on new, wide ranging, important. . . responsibilities.
    Yea Morgan!

  4. Cheryl LeMay says:

Are those chore boots I see her wearing? She obviously wants a horse real bad. It’s good to see her participating.

  5. Leaves of the fall says:

LOL… that’s what I was thinkin’…. she must REALLY want that horse! Whatever it takes, huh, Morgan? :reindeer:

  6. doubletroublegen says:

Love how she is helping you!! Mothers and daughters share a special bond when they help take care of those that depend on us for food!I am envious of your green grass!!! :hissyfit:

  7. Sheila Z says:

No mud.. what a beautiful thing! I bet visons of a horse dance through Morgan’s head as she feed the critters.

  8. whaledancer says:

Not being her mom, I think she’s outgrown “good little helper” and graduated to hard worker. Especially when she’s slinging bales of hay around.

  9. nursemary says:

Hard work aside, this is a special time for you and your daughter and one she will never forget. It’s lovely.

  10. Flowerpower says:

So how come you have all the green grass? Dang…all I have is leaves and brown! Morgan realizes she needs to help her mama. I think you have some great kids. Wonder what has gone thru the animals minds over this move? :happyflower:

  11. BuckeyeGirl says:

What we say, “What a great barn!”
    What the animals think, “Fud”
What we say, “What wonderful fences”
    What the animals think, “Cookies”
What we say, “The porch is so welcoming.”
    What the animals think, “Fud”
What we say, “So wonderful to have a hard road right to the driveway!”
    What the animals think, “Fud”
What we say, “Going to have to find a nice color for the living room paint, a nice warm neutral.”
    What the animals think, “Cookies?”
What we say, “Where should I put this chair?”
What the animals think, “Is she baking Cookies”
What we say, “Better check the mail.”
What the animals think, “Are there more Cookies?”
What we say, “What time is that doctor’s appointment again?”
    What the animals think, “Fud”
What we say, “I’ve got to look for the box with the extra bath towels in it”
    What the animals think, “Fud”
What we say, “The school bus will be here soon.”

  12. Flowerpower says:

Cute Buckeye girl!!! Probably just about right!!!! :snoopy:

  13. BuckeyeGirl says:

Well, sometimes they have a flash of ‘scratch my ear right there’ and ‘you’re nice and warm so let’s cuddle’ but those only last about 16 seconds then it’s back to “fud”

  14. JOJO says:

It is nice to see Morgan so happy, I am sure she feels the same sense of contentment and freedom you do, I am happy for her as well.
I am sure this move will change the whole family’s feeling–all good.

  15. pamplemousse says:

I love that picture of all your little animals! The grass is so green!

  16. Jersey Lady says:

Way to go, Morgan! And I love that we have actually gotten to see her lovely face 🙂

  17. JerseyMom says:

Yep, hay will make you very popular with the animal set. Good job, Morgan…it’s good practice for having horses because they need hay at least twice a day – – – – and they want more hay more like four times a day. My DH texted me last week when I was a little late getting home. He said “the horses are staring at the house so hard the paint is changing color!” Yep, hay makes you very popular!

  18. TwistedStitcher says:

I love seeing Morgan in the boots with the hay. She looks like a real horse woman. That is a great pic. When you get ready to get her that horse, you might want to check out horse rescue as an option. There seems to be an awful lot of abandoned horses needing homes these days.

  19. Merino Mama says:

I bet your animals just don’t know what to think. They look really happy! :snoopy:

  20. Chic says:

Chores will be SO much easier on this farm than at Stringtown Rising…I’m so happy for you!
