Shhhh!!!! Little’s sleeping!
He hates it when I turn the water on.
I’M JUST KIDDING! I would never turn the water on when Little’s sleeping in the sink. It’s really inconvenient sometimes.

I’m surprised Little likes to sleep there in the winter. Mine prefer it in the summer when it feels cooler lol.

Re Kitten, he wasn’t in the house when this picture was taken.

Thats so cute! I have a similar story. When I am cleaning house if the cat is there, it doesnt get cleaned until he moves! After all, who am I to disturb cuteness with dusting? lol I have 3 boy kitties and they all have their spots, the chair the couch, even the breakfast table!

Kitties choose such funny spots to become fond of. I guess that is part of why we love them and their quirky personalities so much!

Animals are so fun, and like kids, they do the darndess things. Before we moved to this house, our kitty girl would often be found in the bathroom sink. It was cute, but not when someone needed to use it and we had to remove her (she hates being picked up). She doesn’t do it in this house, but she does like to scrape the sink with her paws. (like they do in the litter box). And she likes it when I leave a cup full of water for her to drink in the sink. Many years ago we had a Great Pyrenees that liked to sleep in the bathtub. Our current Pyr sleeps in the 2nd bathroom’s shower. We have yet to use it for actual showering and probably never will. We call it his bedroom. 😉

We have several “sink sleepers” in our household…and yes, I turn on the water. Bear, has long hair and a thick undercoat and it appears, the water doesn’t phase him!
Muckley will jump and run if you turn the water on while she’s there. She only comes in after I’ve run water and heated the sink for her.
None of them will ever come close to Tigger who loved to get in the shower with the water running. Cats are really strange!

My tortoiseshell cat, that I got secondhand, loves to have a couple of cups of drawn into the bathroom sink. Her previous “beans” told me about how much she liked to drink water out of the bathroom sink. If nothing else, it makes me keep the bathroom vanity top super-de-dooperty clean after she exits after drinking. Remember, to a cat we are merely staff.

I never hesitated to turn the water on when my cat, Mat, used to sleep in the sink. It didn’t deter him in the least. In fact, he didn’t even jump when the water hit him. He’d sort of wait and see if maybe I’d turn the water off again before heaving himself up and out.
