Making Progress

The duck ‘n’ buck yard is nearing completion! The roof is going on the new buck house and once walls are up and it’s done, we’ll have a moving party!

  1. Martha in KS says:

Will you be playing “Duck, Buck, Goose”?

  2. Yvonne says:

Sweet! (hope none of your ramps are growing in that area!)

  3. Dianna says:

    Love Martha’s comment!
Isn’t it exciting to know a project is nearing completion!?

  4. ann/albaa says:

Not a farm Lass but I have to ask Duck & Buck I get the duck but buck to is a male deer & I know that is not what you mean …
so please explain cause I don’t like the visual I’m getting in my head.

    • Suzanne McMinn says:

Yes, by bucks I mean male goats……

The reason I’m putting them together is convenience, for one, but also because I’m worried about the ducks (predators) and find that having larger animals with small ones (like chickens) protects them, so I’m hoping it will make the ducks safer to have the bucks in their area.

  5. bonita says:

Is there some farm-type advantage of quartering ducks and bucks together? The D&B idea sounds great, but I’m wondering if there is some ulterior motive at work.

  6. Eggy says:

Ann, male goats are bucks too!

  7. Ramona says:

    They’ll luv their new home!
