Casper gets SO EXCITED every morning when I come outside and pick up the milk pail. He knows what’s coming. He waits for me on the porch to come back. I still use a stainless steel stock pot that I sit inside this plastic milk pail. I like carrying a bucket with a handle, but I don’t have a stainless steel one, so I use my pot inside a pail method. (Maybe someday when I get RICH I will buy a stainless steel bucket!!) I pour the milk into quart jars before I come up to the house. I take the stainless steel pot inside to wash and leave the plastic bucket outside the door for the next day. Casper knocks it over right away and licks up whatever milk fell between the stainless steel pot and the plastic bucket. He lives for this moment each day.
And after it’s over, and he’s chewed on my chore boots and dragged them around the porch and knocked them over (because they smell like milk, too), he passes out on the welcome mat.
