Here she comes.
Mother Duck (see her duckling story here and here) has been doing a fantastic job with her eleven ducklings (four of her own, seven adopted).
She still has all eleven. She walks them around the farm, takes them to the creeks, shows them where to dig for bugs in the pastures. And she keeps them away from the other ducks and everyone else. But if you’re watching, you can see her on her proud strolls with her babies.
It makes me smile every time I see her, with her own little waddling miracle of farm life.

I love ducks and until last fall I had a large group. I will again. She is s wonderful mother. You have provided a well protected land for her to raise them. I enjoy your farm posts and would love to come to one of the retreats, but live too far away for now.

What a special mommy, now there is a Mom that has all of her little “duckies” in a row.

That is just so precious. (not the dog. lol) I love watching duck and goose families when the rare opportunity arrives that I get to. We were at Knott’s Berry Farm earlier this year and there was a duck family (dad too) with 9 babies. They were so fun to watch and incredibly cute. Forget the rides, I wanted to watch the ducks. 😀
