My Other Babies

How did this happen? Yesterday was the first day of school here. Weston is a senior this year, and Morgan….. MORGAN IS IN HIGH SCHOOL, TOO!!!!!!!

Upside: I didn’t have to drive anyone to the bus yesterday. Since they’re at the same school, they rode in together!

Time has a nasty habit of flying by way too fast!

  2. Karen B says:

It seems like just yesterday that my 3 boys were in school – and now I have greatgrandchildren in school!! :butterfly: OMG – I am SO old….. :dancingmonster:

From now on, the time will fly by.

Fetch and carry load will be lifted; replaced by the worry load until they return safely again. I can remember walking from window to window watching for headlights when our son was out at night. Then hurrying to bed so he wouldn’t know I had been waiting up.

This is a wonderful time in their lives and yours. Enjoy.

  4. Karen Anne says:

I can’t believe how early school starts now. When I was a kid it didn’t start until September. How did this happen.

  5. Leah says:

I was a freshman when my oldest brother was a Senior too. Thank goodness for that. Other boys knew not to mess with me. “That’s Tims sister….haha! It’s great u dont have to drive them any longer, sure you have enough to do in the mornings. :sheepjump:

  6. CindyP says:

And no more running for practices! What are you going to do with all that time and extra gas money??? LOL!

At least he had lots of practice this summer driving 😉

Wow, my youngest is getting ready to start kindergarten, high school seems so far away. Good luck! :duck:

  8. Glenie says:

It is really nice when one of them can drivc – that leaves time for enjoying the aminals. Love your goats wish I had some.

I think it makes for more time at home without pants! Which is good since you done went and cleaned out your closet. Personally, I was glad when I didn’t have to drive to school in my nightgown. Unfortunately, that wasn’t until my girl started college, because she didn’t want to drive in St. Louis traffic when she was in high school. Oh yes, I was rocking the nightgown in morning rush hour! :snoopy: :snoopy:

    Suzanne,
My kids are same age as yours (Freshman/Sr) – I feel your pain – how the heck did this happen?? It’s the time of year for buying crayons and glue sticks and mine won’t coorperate at all!

  11. Merlin says:

In a strange way I kind of understand! You ask, why? Because I’ll have a kid starting HIGH SCHOOL  , a kid continuing middle school, and a kid starting KINDERGARTEN  (and one more at home)! :hissyfit: But then on the bright side, seeing as I only have one kid left at home… :shimmy:

  12. Kelly says:

Wow, I’m sure it was yesterday that my DD was a Freshman and DS was a Senior…yep, I’m SURE it was yesterday! Now, how is it that TODAY DD is the Senior and DS is a college Junior???? UGH….

  13. Beth Brown says:

    Suzanne,
You are very resourceful. I have 2 going into 8th grade and it is my baby’s last year in elementary school. Can you come up with a way to keep them little? And post it on your website please?

Thanks in advance – Beth aka oneoldgoat
