I think it was actually an art gallery, but it was closed so I didn’t check it out.

You should have checked it out! They have the finest cheeses the world has to offer. They’re open from 11-6 today 😉 goatsheepcow(dot)com

Now the name of the store makes sense! From across the street, it looked like an art gallery. I could see the closed sign so I didn’t go over. (We were in the middle of a tour at the time, too.)

Their Facebook page says they are “a European-style fromagerie offering artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, locally baked fresh breads, olives, nuts and assorted gourmet pantry items.” Sounds like your kind of place (or just like home!).
