Morgan got this little sign when she was maybe seven or eight years old, when she first started taking riding lessons and was into all things horsey. It has hung in her room all these years. Yesterday, she hung it on “her” barn. For Morgan, this farm is such a dream come true.

A dream come true for her to have her own horse. Perfect places to ride there, a barn…and someone to love them. Lucky horse! :happyflower:

I know just how Morgan feels. As a kid, even to this day. I was an adult before I achieved my goal. Like all animals you learn how to love and care for them. We have just one horse now. Sassy is 33 years old. I was there when she foaled. Our daughter rode her on many trail rides, with friends and pack horses. A week at a time. Love your sign Morgan.

When the time comes for her to pick out her horse, be sure she checks with rescue barns! I volunteer at a draft horse rescue. Most of our horses came from auctions where they were headed for slaughter. They are the sweetest bunch you could ever imagine! Some are mixed breeds, still large, but you can ride or drive them! They are hearty and healthy. They tolerate the cold well. Hopefully there is one near you!

I know this is at least 8 hours away from you (east of Buffalo, NY), but there are some horses in need of a new home here – https://thebatavian.com/howard-owens/horse-rescue-owner-diagnosed-cancer-18-horses-need-new-homes-immediately/29683.
Sadly, there are probably many more rescues in need as well.
I had a horse as a teen and loved it!

What is it about this farm that has Morgan jumping in to help? You don’t need to answer. It is nice to see that the entire family is enjoying themselves.

Yay, Morgan! I was given a sign for Thanksgiving….big yellow diamond with a black horse silhouette on it. It’s on my barn now and it feels good! 😀
