That’s the Crooked Little Hen back there pecking at a dish of dog food while the dogs completely ignore her.

Wow the little puppy isn’t so little anymore. Question is it hot there as it has been in Michigan lately? My three are in the basement with fans on them. They sneak out to the kennel to get wet in their pool then head back in to the basement. Wed morn at 8:30 am was 76 with a heat index of 94.

  2. Nancy in Iowa says:

Another great reason to have a front porch!

  3. Karen Anne says:

That’s also the crooked little hen’s beau, is he not?

76, you poor babies. Try 100.

  4. maryann says:

LOL Karen Anne; it did get to 93 degrees by that afternoon, not sure what the heat index was at that time as I wasn’t near the radio at the time.

  5. Lisa says:

    I really want a big porch… :hissyfit:
    I live in Michigan too.

  6. monica says:

Maybe the crooked little hen thinks she is a dog? LOL! :woof: :chicken:

  7. Kathy in KY says:

Casper looks like his Mama, if I remember her coloring right. Doesn’t Coco mind that he’s going to sit on her head!? Dookie looks like he doesn’t have a care in the world. Nice to see the chicken couple enjoying a meal together. Wonderful post. THX :smilerabbit:

maybe you need to re-title your website to ‘Chickens on the Porch’ …..sure wish I had some chickens.

  9. rileysmom says:

Smart hen! She knows the dogs are busy and she can steal dog kibbles!

  10. Sandi says:

    Puppy is getting so big!

  11. DragonLady says:

I’ve :chicken: been missing that Crooked Little Hen and hoping she was okay.

  12. JeannieB says:

What a cute trio!! When is Coco going to be a mama??

  13. Merino Mama says:

Since Flo our chihuahua mix moved in, chickens have to sneak on the porch to get their cat or dog food. Heaven help them if she traps them there. Talk about a racket! The cats are too scared of the chickens. They just move over for them with their eyes literally squinted, saying, “Please don’t peck my eyes out! I’ll give you the food!” The cats are the chickens at my house! :chicken:

  14. Jennifer Robin says:

Is it just me, or does Casper look like he’s got stripes?!

  15. Michele says:

Casper’s getting big. Looks like Coco is hot. :woof: :snoopy:

  16. Karen Anne says:

He does look like he has stripes…

  17. Cousin Sheryl says:

LOL! The stripes are shadows from the porch railings as the setting sun is shining on the porch! Looks unusual on the puppy doesn’t it?

Just wait ’til you see what Suzanne and I are doing tomorrow!

    hehehe
    :devil2:
