Ross’s Hands

Apr
13

This is what Ross’s hands look like.

And that’s most of the time! He enjoys nothing more than being under something, working on it.

And when he says, Will you make me a sandwich? you really want to–because you don’t want him to touch anything!

Ross is still here, by the way, and will be here for a few weeks, until time to report to his submarine.

Enjoy having him home while you have him!

His hands do a lot to explain his career choice.
How wonderful that you get to have him around for a few weeks AND that he likes to keep busy. Mighty fine boy, err, young man, you’ve got there Suzanne. Mighty fine, indeed.

  3. lavenderblue says:

Manly, manly hands. How nice that you get to keep him awhile.

  4. AnnieB says:

Ross is so handsome ….. he reminds me of a young Steve McQueen ๐Ÿ˜‰

How great to have him with you for such a long visit. Enjoy!

Lots to keep him busy for a few weeks ๐Ÿ˜‰ I would make anyone a sandwich (or a 4 course meal!) whose hands looked like that all the time from working on my stuff!!!

Suzanne I didn’t know where else to put this. This woman’s blog is so good. She written about you and said the nicest things. Thought you might want to pop over and have a read.

I think Ross inherited his strong work ethic from you, Suzanne! I marvel at how hard you work & your accomplishments. Like mother, like son.

  8. caprilis says:

Get him to teach you to use the tractor while he’s home! I promise you will LOVE using it!

  9. princessvanessa says:

I thought go myself, those are “manly, manly hands” and was surprised to see lavendeblue have the same comment.
Being able to fix and repair machinery will serve Ross well all his life. My father is a fix-it/repair-it man and it sure saved having to pay somebody else to do a shoddy repair at an exhorbant price.

Make him the biggest sandwich he can eat and BLESS him!

  11. MousE says:

Oh how grown up he is now! And I second AnnieB.

    Steve McQueen indeed!

    Good job, Suzanne. =D

  12. Diane says:

Enjoy your time with Ross. ๐Ÿ™‚ Dirty hands and all.

I love pictures of hands…they can tell a story.
It is so nice to see a young man helping his mother. You are blessed…so am I. I have 2 sons and 2 daughters. I love it when they are all home. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m glad to hear you get to have him home for a while. It will be a joy for you, and I’ll bet Ross can use a change of pace after all his hard work in training. Plus, Ill bet you can use all the hands (and strong backs) you can get on the farm right now.
