Photos I’ve taken in the past week that never made it into a post:

Goats dotting. (Clover, Nutmeg, Dr. Pepper, and Clovers’s new baby. Maybe I never posted it because I couldn’t get Dr. Pepper to cooperate and stop licking himself.)

The Crooked Little Hen, helping herself to the dog food can when I set it down for a minute before pouring it in the dog dish. Why wait till it’s poured in the dog dish and the other chickens and dogs are after it? The Crooked Little Hen takes first place.

Morgan, taking homemade blueberry yogurt experiments so seriously, she’s even sniffing the jar.

A picture of Jack through Poky’s legs. Not sure why I like this picture, but I do.

Casper, catching up to his beloved Coco in the road in front of our farm.

The nanny goat yard at feeding time. Goats, babies, chickens, and a giant calf.

Just a little cross-section of the thousands (seriously) of photos I take every month that don’t end up on the blog because for some reason or another they don’t fit into a post. (Maybe I should do it more often?)

I agree, you should definitely do it more often. It’s a great idea. My photo library is also full of tons of pictures that miss the post call for various little flaws. Maybe we should randomly pick a ‘picture-catch-up’ day each month! :sheepjump:

    Blessings!

Hurray, I passed “register for this blog” 101. Now I’m on! Just wanted to say that the conglomeration of unused photos was a lot of fun.

Also liked your comment the other day about mud and poop. Those us not on a farm tend to think the grass is always greener on your side and romanticize farm living; however, you work very hard and DO INDEED have to put up with a lot of mud (and poop). Maybe you should sell a bumper sticker

    AT STRINGTOWN, POOP HAPPENS

I love, love your posts! Have a great Memorial Day! Just how will those animals express their patriotism?

Maybe you could do a Wordless Wednesday like I see at other blogs and just post photos.

    Yes, please!!

One of the other bloggers I follow has a couple she does on a regular basis, sort of like that – “linky dinks #1”, then #2, etc (random interesting trivia found on the web) and “glimpses #12”, then #13, etc (animal/flower/scenery shots from her garden/walks/park). Definitely, start one up!

:sheep: :cowsleep: Awwww… I loved seeing how the goats, babies, chickens and cow gathered around and ate together. And all the rest were so cute too! Please post more random pictures, please. :sheepjump: :chicken:

I like the Jack/Poky picture too. She looks like Queen Poky with her lover-boy waiting for her to call on him (while he has a snack, of course).

I love the idea of more posts that have pictures that are good enough to share but didn’t make it into a post. Thank you once again for sharing a slice of your life through all your wonderful photos and stories.
