Yesterday, on her third day back to school and driving herself, Morgan made a minor miscalculation when backing down the driveway and drove up onto the bank by the house.
It rained the day before, so it was very wet. And she got very stuck. I couldn’t push the car hard enough by myself to get her out. But!
Luckily for both of us, my hero cousin came over and pushed her car off the bank. And she got to school. A little late. And from now on, she’ll be turning around and going down the driveway forward…..

Backing down a hill is tough especially on rainy, foggy days-even for experienced drivers! (and on a curve!!!) WV driving is real driving, for sure.

Backing is definitely not my field of expertise! Aren’t you lucky to be near family and also have such good neighbors.

I’m always grateful when my young 16, 17, 18 etc year old driving nieces, nephews, and friend’s kids have minor, non-harmful, but embarassing and frustrating things happen to them. These are the things that keep them safe and thinking during later more potentially dangerous situations!
Your cousin is a gem! Not that you need me to tell you that, I just had to say it. :chicken:

I agree with BEG–good to get those minor teaching opportunities out of the way as soon as possible. I remember being soooo mortified when I made the same mistake as Morgan that I never, ever made it again. Same with driving 20 miles at night without lights!
Mark sure is cool!

Poor Morgan…It is hard backing going down a hill.. I had my hubby put a turn around for me coming out of our garage cause I would end up in the lawn.. And it looks like not just cousin lending a hand one of your dogs is too. Not sure which one is helping…

I have a 5 ton Army 6×6 truck for rent for those who cannot keep traction in the yard sod. Suzanne always gets my picture from the back side or some shot like Neighbor Wilson on “Home Improvement” . Hey I am not in witness protection or do I get a % if you can identify me.
No problem helping out except for 6:30 am war hoop from Cousin Sheryl to pick up the phone, I figured barn on fire, dog flat on road or cow in house!! A stuck car is a piece of cake if it is not sitting on its top and has wheels that still roll.!!!!
