We’ve had nothing but one rain or snow storm after another for days here, with accompanying power outages. Someone asked why does rain cause power outages? One of the reasons, in West Virginia, is because we have so many trees here–and so much of the electric line system is aboveground. When we have a lot of rain, it loosens the ground and can cause trees to fall over from the roots. With snow, it’s the weight of the snow on the branches, especially if there’s ice. Trees falling on power lines is a huge issue around here.
When it snows and I hear branches crashing to the ground, I call that the sound of power outage.
By request, here is a snowy wallpaper or screensaver you can pick up for FREE from my print gallery here!

It’s a beautiful shot… I would trade with you in a heartbeat. I am in Florida and am sick of the never-ending heat! Where are the animals and horses? Are they all in the barn?

Suzanne,
Thanks you for the new screensaver. It’s cooling to look at it in this 80 degree Florida winter we are having. Linda

Neat screen saver–it’s warming to look at this in the -25 degree midwestern winter! (As in, “It’s so d**m cold here, it can’t even snow!”)
