  21. bonita says:

I agree with Old Geezer…effective hype

BTW: Tuliptree is named for the appearance of its showy flowers and the silhouette of its large leaves, both of which resemble tulips. It is also known as Tulip Poplar and Yellow Poplar, in reference to the fluttering of its leaves like those of the Poplars, and for the yellow colors of both its flowers and fall foliage.

Native throughout most of the Eastern United States, it quickly reaches a height of 80 feet and a breadth of 40 feet, but it can grow much taller. As a member of the Magnolia Family, it is related to the Magnolias (including Cucumbertree) and the only other Tuliptree (Chinese Tuliptree).

  22. lifeisgood/ Melinda says:

can we have a big hint ?

  24. Old WV Broad says:

    Dear Suzanne,
Tired of standing by, gonna sit a spell. Probably lay down after that.

My Aunt Jean Bean used to say, Good news is worth waiting for, don’t wait on the bad news, it will find you anyway.

    Will check back tomorrow!

  25. MousE says:

    …is someone getting married? :dancingmonster:

  26. whaledancer says:

    Grrr. Tease. :happypuppy:

  27. beforethedawn says:

Gorgeous tree! Sitting here patiently waiting to see what’s up. ๐Ÿ˜€

  28. Turtle Mom says:

Our Tulip tree bloomed early due to the heat wave (9 days of 85+ degree weather) and lost most of it’s pretty flowers within 3 days. Today it rained and the tree is just about bare, which makes me sad. A neighbor’s lilac tree is blooming. Is it still March in Indiana?
