This was the rather odd sight here yesterday when snow blew its unwelcome self back into our weather picture, sticking to the trees but not the warm ground!

  4. greensborodailyphoto says:

Can you tell I have sinus pressure? That should be “beautiful capture” as I love this photo!

  5. Sharon_C says:

Oh, how cool! That’s a neat photo. Our thaw started yesterday, and I can’t believe how much snow we lost in just one day.

  6. Julie says:

I am in West Central MN; our snow is still piled high. It isn’t all that unusual to get snow in March… and yesterday’s snow fall was still unwelcome. I felt like I was living in a giant snow globe. Someone must have shook my world hard the night before. The jolt and the resulting icky weather sapped me of my energy and resulted in severe inertia. I c :sheep: annot wait until April!https://chickensintheroad.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/sheep.gif

That’s a great photo. Although I’m not a huge fan of snow, it is beautiful when it’s on the trees like that.

  8. Carmen at Old House Kitchen says:

We had snow on Saturday here in northern Indiana. It stuck to the ground and trees until the next day. With all the snow stuck on the trees the drive to church yesterday was beautiful. It’s mostly gone, now. I am so ready for Spring and the weather that comes with it!

  9. Teresa says:

6″ of fresh snow here; blue skies and sunny now, 24 degrees in Central PA

Here in New York today we are buried in snow. Snow and heavy winds today. I wish here looked like those trees Suzanne. Are trees look pretty sad with the weight of the snow. On our deck where it blows off roof it is about 2 feet of heavy snow. We are very tired of all the snow this year and the cold single digits again tonight. :hissyfit:

Beautiful picture! We had snow again Friday night that covered everything with a nice, clean blanket of snow. It was pretty and it didn’t last, which was okay, I’m ready for Spring!
Here in the Okanogan Valley we are blessed with all four of the seasons through out the year. Every year around this time, we experience what I call the Winter/Spring Tussle, where we have an interesting (and sometimes frustrating!) mix of these two seasons. It begins in the last couple weeks of February and sometimes lasts till mid April. During the Tussle, we can experience all the weather patterns that these two seasons have to offer (sometimes in one day!). One day the temperatures soar, we see green grass and buds on trees. We shed our coats and think about putting away our snow shovels and winter boots. And then the next day we may have single-digit temps with a biting wind that causes us to put on an extra layer, grab another log for the fire and make hot soup for dinner. Back and forth it goes. Spring always wins, but Winter puts up a good fight!

Ours comes in bands here. It is not uncommon to have snow in the backyard, but not the front!

  13. B. Ruth says:

That looks like what we have around here when fog settles and then the temperature drops and freezes it forming crystals called a Hoarfrost….It is beautiful when all over every little twig….
We only had a light one this year so far…..

  14. Merlin says:

I’ve seen them a few times when I lived in Arkansas when we have freezing fog (like commentor #17 says), and it is so purty!!!

  15. Miss Becky says:

what a beautiful photo! it looks a combination of black and white with just a hint of green color on the ground. I love it!

  16. MaryB says:

I think it is so beautiful. My hubby and I were coming home from church yesterday and seen the hills like that. In person it was even prettier.

  17. Patti Jarrett says:

It looks as if a line was drawn and the snow was forbidden to cross it.
