Sure Signs

Grass is growing.

Trees are budding.

And budding.

I do believe we’re going to have an early spring!

I know our peach and plum trees are blooming, I just keep waiting to get past Easter. I’ve seen snow and ice up until then. We are in NE Texas now. I need to start planting our kitchen garden.

How exciting! I’m looking forward to seeing photo’s when everything is all green and in bloom on your wonderful farm. I know it’s going to be beautiful!

I just got an e-mail from my CSA and they’re predicting an early spring here in eastern WA, too! We should get our first delivery in 7 weeks–should include local green and purple asparagus–and I can’t wait.

My spring project is starting some herbs from seed to grow inside; I finally got a plant light for them, so maybe they’ll actually grow this time. (We live in a condo and I use the only good container-planting spot I have outside for growing tomatoes.)

I hope so for here in CO too. It’s snowing right now. Yesterday was in the 70’s. The weather is a roller coaster. I want spring and green and flowers, and leaves and blooms on trees.

This has been showing in the sidebar for a while, don’t know if it’s just my computer or what. It’s under “Join the Community in the Forum”. Just thought I’d let you know!

Here in Louisiana it has been Spring for a while. We had 80 degree weather in February! Spring is in full force and we are getting a lot of rain after a VERY mild winter with only a handful of days under freezing and even then those days only hovered around 30 at night.
I worry about what this means for us this summer. Last summer was HORRIBLE! (no rain and extremely high temps– in the 100s most days). I am praying we don’t have a repeat of those summer temps this year but with this crazy weather I am not too optimistic.
Meanwhile, I am enjoying every single minute of this beautiful early spring!

It can’t be spring. We haven’t had winter yet!!!
Yvonne, that same thing is showing up on my sidebar. don’t know what it means, but I shall not click on it.

This last Saturday I noticed a bush starting to leaf out. Yesterday, when I opened the door to leave for work (at 4:30am),
an inch of snow awaited me. This is in Tacoma area of Washington. Mother nature loves messing with us.
