Last night was the Roane County High School graduation. This year was Madison’s turn (my cousin’s son). Last year, it was Ross’s turn. (See the post about Ross’s graduation here.) Next year it will be Weston’s turn. HOW CAN THAT BE? I remember when Ross, Weston, and Madison used to fight over action figures on the sidewalk in front of the old farmhouse.
By the way, Weston is six feet tall. Madison is six feet six inches–he’s crouching down here or I’d have to get up on a ladder to take a picture of him. (PIctured: Left, Weston’s girlfriend; middle, Weston; right, Madison.)
I like how Weston is looking at his girlfriend in this picture.

Wonderful. I do love how Weston is looking at his girlfriend too. 🙂 I do not have any graduates yet. I have 2 more years yet to face that day. lol. But lucky me I am lunch lady and one of the 4 cashiers and get to know the kids and get to see them graduating each year. Last day is always a tear jerker when the seniors do a speach in the cafteria. And then my dd is in the band so we get to attend Graduation as well. Sad to see them all leave. Happy that they make it though school and head off into the world. 🙂

So, the girlfriend must be tall too (or she’s standing on a box). She just keeps getting better and better in my opinion. Tall women are cool. I should know, I’m 5’10”!

I don’t know just what her height is, but Weston and his girlfriend are standing normally. It’s just Madison who is slouching down or he’d be towering over them! So yes, Weston’s girlfriend is relatively tall for a girl.

No more “little kids”! (Except the four-footed ones.) Weston and girlfriend may not get to graduate this year, but they are on the brink and right behind Madison. May God’s speed be with them as they enter the next stage and travel through life. I always wonder: where will he/she be 10 years from now. The years zip by.

Thanks, everyone for the good wishes for Madison! He is quite a apecial young man (I am not biased of course!) I am happy for him to go to college and go on to the next phase of his life! But, like Suzanne, I am wondering, “Where did my LITTLE BOY GO?!?!?!”
A special thank you to Suzanne for being another “mom” for Madison during these last few years! She spoils him with chocolate chip cookies!

Congratulations! Great job, Madison. My son graduates next year, also (with a little luck). I am still keeping his Thomas the Tank Engine toys in case he needs them some day. 😆
