It’s snowing. I went out to give cookies to the goats and donkeys because everybody needs a cookie when it’s cold out. Inside, I’m dehydrating orange slices, starting a pot of cheese, and gearing up to make soap for Christmas presents. I finished my candle-palooza, after making around 40 candles in the past week!

Mr. Pibb is so cute, photo #2 is my favorite. We had a cat named Mr. Pibb many years ago…a real sweetie.
I love your animals & am curious about that contest…is it all over? I’m hoping you won it!

Suzanne McMinn says:
drucillajoy, I don’t know! As far as I know, I was #1 in the votes, but they have removed it all now so you can’t see. They will announce the winner on December 15. The votes is not all it’s based on–they have a final judges round (which is private) and they will decide then announce it. Thank you all so much for voting!!!

What will you use the dehydrated orange slices for??
Love Mr. Pibb 🙂

Suzanne McMinn says:
The dehydrated orange slices are for potpourri bowls and also for stringing with cranberries and popcorn for garlands for the tree. When I mail a Christmas gift, I also like to toss some into the box and also scatter them in gift baskets.

I dunno – feeding them ANIMAL crackers seems sort of cannibalistic :hungry:

My mother used to make candied orange and grapefruit peel for Christmas and it made the house smell wonderful!

Jen R. (emeraldsunshine.org) says:
I agree with Nita – perhaps you should be feeding them hay crackers! 😀

Mr. Pibb is so cute. There is something very satisfying about feeding animals. And snow! Since it can cut you off from road access, you possibly aren’t as thrilled. But I love snow! We had snow in Seattle for the 3 days before Thanksgiving and I am ready for more.

Ahhhh, I thought he was catching a snowflake on his tongue!..until the 7th picture and saw the cookie handout….
He actually looks like he is saying to himself in the 6th pic …”Shucks, missed that big one!” Sooo, then he looks up for another one…LOL So Cute….
We used to have goats….but you know what, their eyes always freaked me out! LOL

I never noticed before what a sweet smile Mr. Pibb has. When he’s not sticking out his tongue, that is. Okay, from the Christmas stockings to Mr Pibb’s cookie faces, you’ve made me cry and then laugh, all in the space of 5 minutes.
We haven’t had an update on Ms. Glory Bee for several days? How is the little dickens?
On December 3, 2010 at 2:22 pm
Suzanne McMinn says:
Glory Bee is fine! She is broken to the lead now, I believe. We’re going to move BP back to BP-land this weekend and then I’ll see how it goes when I try to lead Glory Bee back and forth!

I knew there were cookies involved! He has quite a personality, I bet. And you are so right – everyone needs a cookie when it’s cold.

Nita in SC….that was hilarious! 😆 (I’m sorry, Suzanne, but these smilies are really stupid looking. Don’t take it personally! didn’t you use to have better looking smileys before?) Sorry for the sidetrack. :eating:

Why does it freak me out when they stick out their tongues? He is a cutie, though.
Suzanne, I’m not trying to tell you how to run your blog but I need more Clover! This site used to be all Clover all the time and I liked it that way.
Okay, I always enjoy ALL of your posts but I miss my favorite goat. Are her babies all grown up now? How long do you intend to keep them?
On December 3, 2010 at 4:40 pm
Suzanne McMinn says:
Karo, I’m sorry! I’ve had a lot of cow issues lately, LOL. I will get you some more Clover asap!

Dehydrated orange slices make great ornaments. Just put a hook through one and hang, preferrably where light will shine through them, perhaps in a window ? You’d be surprised how lovely they look with sunlight shining through!
