The kids’ main gift this year was getting to flush. (Just kidding. Sort of.) But I also got them each an instrument t-shirt. (If you’re interested, you can find them on Amazon. They’re made by ThinkGeek.) I saw them promo’ed on one of the morning news shows, and they looked fun. I tracked them down and they’re weren’t too expensive, so I decided to make a t-shirt band. I got Weston the guitar shirt, Ross the drum shirt, and Morgan the synthesizer shirt. (The parts that play the music, and the battery pack, come apart from the shirt so you can wash it.) They also got radio control cars, and that was a lot of fun, too.
With kids this age, Christmas and birthday presents can get really boring and hard to buy. I didn’t have that much money to spend this year, so I gave them each their favorite kind of present (some cash) and TOYS, and it was a lot of fun–for everybody!

Great T-shirts. Like the “ornament” standing in the corner to Morgan’s right!

I am quite sure they understood about the finances this year. Looks like a pretty happy bunch to me. What’s best about it is you are all together in your very own house and farm. I bet there is never a dull moment when those 3 are around! :happyflower:

Not alot of money to spend here either. My dd at 17 wanted a pillow pet. She was thrilled with that. And a few other small things. Funny how toys are always a favorite even when the kids are older. 🙂

I got my nephew (a musician) the synthesizer shirt (and some cash). We’re on our way there, now. I think we’ll have a blast with it. Glad to see your kids enjoyed theirs!
