Look at that! I was so amazed, I ran inside to grab my camera. There were three, count ’em three, cars trying to pass at the same time on our little road in front of our farm. That never happens.
Can you tell it’s deer season?

Maybe they were just starting their Christmas lights viewing early (since your neighbor put his up!)

Since it’s dark, I hope they aren’t actively hunting (poaching). That’s a whole other issue!

Hey Suzanne!
Yes, it is deer season out here too! It is so surprising how many cars are parked along the sides of the road where I live. There is one man who sits in his van overlooking a field. I’m pretty sure he is hunting from his van!

In the Midwest its kind of dangerous to be outside when its cold and hunting season is in full swing. Some of the guys spend their time drinking “to keep warm” and in dim light can sometimes mistake a cow or a person for a deer and fire away. There have been some nasty accidents so we have to be careful what we wear while near woods. No white cause they think they’ve caught a glimpse of the white tail of a white tail deer. Usually bright colored coats, hats and scarfs–red, yellow–are recommended. Sigh! Guns and drink do not really mix very well.

During work hours our road is dangerous. But, usually after dark it’s pretty calm.
