Guess who delivered?

Cookie Doe!

Cookie Doe’s past history involves having triplets and quadruplets. She comes to my farm and she has twins. What am I, chopped liver?

The whole time I was taking pictures, this little one was jumping on my back. I turned around and took this picture. She barely stops moving. I know she will be happy to have playmates now! And she is twice as big as they are, at only a week old. They will catch up fast, I’m sure.

Back to Cookie Doe’s babies.

The little black and white one is a girl, and the tan one is a boy.

They’re healthy and nursing well. It’s spring on the farm and we’ve got babies!

That first picture is so cute, it actually hurt! All those babies are just too cute for their own good. It’s a wonder that a baby goat’s feet ever touch the ground…..

YTat’s exactly what my 2 does had. They usually have all bucks. This year 2 does!! And just one beautiful spotted buck. So how many more do you think are going to kid? And are you going to be miliing any since BP is not in milk this year? I just started milking in the mornings and that milk is SO good. I sure did miss it. And I wanted to say that I am borrowing my friend’s Jersey heifer to eat down the pasture where my sheep are sometimes. She was supposed to be pregnant but started bellowing a few weeks ago. My friend was very upset when I called her and told her that. So it may be just a bad year to get these girls bred. I sure hope your 2 are. When do they come back home? And what about your ewes? Are they all going to lamb this year too?

  18. Jen says:

Only two but oh so much sweeter & better than any that came before I am sure! They are adorable.

  19. whaledancer says:

So now that you have two goats who have freshened, will you be milking again? Is there chevre in your future?

  20. Sheryl says:

I just had to come back, before bed, to look at those precious babies! If they were any cuter, they would be illegal! Love them ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. Glenda says:

    They are just adorable!

Spring on the farm is the best time. I love seeing all of the animals belly deep in grass, babies and big ones. Life is good.
