Velvet Donkey

Velvet’s got nothing on Jack. I love to rub my hands on his face and press my cheek against his cheek. He is just a big, soft teddy bear. But don’t tell him I said that. He might kick me for that.

Jack is a big sweetheart! I love his sweet face. Don’t worry, your big Teddy Bear secret is safe with us. He really does look like he’s a big soft Teddy Bear. Just don’t tell him I said so, okay?!

I’m not sure why, but donkey’s really scare me. I would want to pet him and feel how velvety, but I wouldn’t. I’ll have to take you at your word.

I loveeeee Jack and Poky. My husband asked how many animals you have now and I realized I’ve lost track, what with all the cats and chickens, you know. Would you give us an update. I know there are:
    1 duck
    2 hogs
    3 dogs
etc., but that is as far as I can go. Aren’t Jack and Poky different?, maybe one is a miniature?

  11. Barbee' says:

    And some sheep.
I just love it all. I live vicariously through you. I could never do all you do. I loved the way Poky used to protect you and Morgan from Mean Rooster.
Yesterdays, photo of the kittens made me think: A stack of cats!

Donkey! I love me some donkeys. I have 5 and 1 on the way. Click my name to see a picture of Sassy and Scruffie. Please don’t be afraid of them, they are like big dogs, and would climb in my lap if they could. When you pet one, another will stick his head there so you have to pet him. And when you brush them, OMG. You can almost hear them arguing “Me next”, “No, my turn next”, “No, you had your turn”.
Mine aren’t miniature though, they are standard size.

  13. Jill says:

I agree donkeys are my favorite. I have one called Peanut that follows me in the field like a dog. I have another one called Little Bit that when she was weaned I put her with a gelding Mini horse so now she thinks she is a horse and not a donkey! she won’t stay with the donkeys now at all just the horses.
