Spinner’s End Farm is run by CITR reader Sherry and her family. They are currently in the process of attempting to rescue a small herd of alpacas in desperate need of a home, saving the alpacas and expanding their small fiber farm. (Photo above courtesy Spinner’s End Farm.) As someone who has benefited, thanks to many of you, from a Kickstarter project, I’m happy to help CITR readers also engaged in the same. Please check out the Spinner’s End Kickstarter project here–and back them if you can! (I did!)

I just backed them, not a lot, but I hope it helps. Thanks for the heads up, I had kinda forgotten about KickStarter.

After reading about this project & also reading posts on the Spinner’s End Farm blog, I was happy to make a small pledge. Thanks for telling us about this.

This story breaks my heart. The thought of alpacas being sold for meat…
I just wish I was in a position to purchase some of the alpacas, too. I did pledge, though, and wish Spinners End Farm success with their project.

Thank you for sharing this kickstarter project with us. I’m happy to contribute what I can. I do hope the necessary funding comes through for the farm. I would love to see all the Alpacas go together to their new home.

Is this the woman who was at the Retreat and was doing the spinning wheel at your house?
I will make a contribution.
