Weston, West Virginia

If you go 99 miles north on I-79 out of Charleston toward West Virginia University in Morgantown, you pass by the city of Weston, West Virginia. I could NOT pass up this fabulous mothering opportunity to take a photo of my son Weston in front of the road sign for Weston.

He was absolutely thrilled to seize this chance to have his picture taken on the shoulder of an interstate.

You can see how thrilled he is, can’t you?

He kept saying, take more, please take more photos. I don’t want this to ever end, this is the Most Fun Ever!

Okay, maybe he was saying something more like, MAKE IT STOP, PLEASE GOD MAKE IT STOP……

Just wait till I get a chance to take Morgan to Morgantown!!!!!!!

I knew there was something about being a parent I was missing out on…oh yeah! Torturing your kids!

Oh, don’t we all love to get our pictures taken–especially by relatives. My niece who just finished college in photo-journalism had just found out how to make caricatures with digital cameras when we were on our family reunion in January. At least everybody got a turn at being “model”. She figured my nose was my most distinctive feature. Ha! Good thing I’m completely (?) unrecognizable–unless somebody has really looked at me from that angle. A baby maybe? Here’s hoping, anyway.

When my youngest was expecting his first child I decided for Christmas to do a photo album for each of my sons. Never realized what a job that would be.:wall:

It was amazing how once they reached the teens that the photos just stopped or else they would look very grim.

At the risk of making your eldest hate me, did you know there’s a Ross, West Virginia, too?

    LOL. Too funny.

We once perched our dog on top of our car near his namesake sign. We have many pictures of the sign, “LODGEPOLE 2 km”, and a blurred black lab scrambling for safety. It didn’t work nearly so well for us. Haven’t tried it with the children yet, though, so perhaps there’s hope. ๐Ÿ˜‰
