    OH MY!!!! Those are some beautiful, yummy looking jars! I am truly a beginner when it comes to canning. Last year our apple tree did very well and I made some apple sauce. This year there was a late frost that seriously took a toll on our apple crop… no apple sauce this year. I would love to be a winner of the BBB to expand my canning abilities.

    So far this summer, I’ve made and canned 12 quarts of mesquite smoked tomatoes, four kinds of plum jam, peach preserves, spiced peach halves and, last night, I made 18 half pints of spicy salsa using mesquite roasted ripe jalapenos.

    Think of what I could do if only I had a BLUE BALL BOOK of my very own! :hungry:

    Although my late mother-in-law canned extensively, I am a flat out noviec. Both my fiance and I are out of work and I needed to make some extra money, so I am making jams that I sell at the local farmers market. At the farmers market there is such an abundance of things for a reasonable price and I would love to have the BBB so I can try to save some of those delicious things for later in the year! BBB please!!!

    A friend forwarded an article written by you in the Charleston, WV daily newspaper. I am getting my first chickens on September 30th. I ordered red and can’t wait.     I made this cranberry sauce last Thansgiving, and it was fabulous.
    It keeps well in the fridge if you dont want to can it, try some on the cold leftover turkey and stuffing sandwitches on home made bread.
    Great with all those hearty winter food we love chicken, pork etc. Use it as jam on toasted bread or nice hot biscuits with fresh butter.

    I am up to my elbows in tomatoes, but I see a light at the end of this tunnel! I am freezing these Romas, but the heat is finally leaving us and I am ready to do some canning. Your cranberry sauce looks so beautiful to look at. I would want to line up those jars where I could look at that rich color every day!
