Cook, read, knit, spin, crochet. Enjoy having Morgan home from school (she’ll be gone before you can blink, as will my DD). Put lovely summer photos into a slideshow on the computer and stop looking out the windows.

  2. Ivyhouse says:

How refreshing! Just the reminder we all need that better days ARE coming. Feeling your pain (in Central PA) as we brace for the next two bouts of winter..

  3. MMHoney says:

I would like you to have this “little Jewel”

It helps me through the dark valleys:

    Cherish yesterday

    Dream tomorrow

    Live today

  4. ibnsgirl says:

I am hoping that this weather is as unusual as people are saying! This is our first winter in the Eastern Panhandle after moving from Texas, and it has been interesting. 3 weather watches this week alone!

What a lovely post! I cant wait until we see these things again.
We have a big storm coming our way with every Winter event included, I just Hope we dont have a lot of Ice.
Power outages are expected due to the ice, we went to the super marker yesterday and they were very busy, there will probably not be school for the rest of the week after today.

  6. Dghawk says:

Hang in there, my friend. They say, “It’s always darkest before the dawn.” Spring will be here…..soon…..sometime…..well

  7. Dana says:

Just six more weeks until Spring……..That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! ☀🌻🐓🐞

  8. wkyangel says:

Just imagine all the little bugs and pestering things that will not be buzzing around eating on you and your animals and the garden because of this extended cold! Look out and see the trees with swollen buds just waiting to burst forth with leaves and blossoms! Such quiet restraint they have! Take a deep breath, and know that these days will pass. I just hope that the summer isn’t as harsh as the winter has been! One day at a time!

  9. holstein woman says:

I have to say I congratulate you Suzanne, you have made it through another terrible storm.
I have relearned so much about winter over the last 7 or 8 years I could write a book, but I’m not a writer and I couldn’t quilt it either (even though I quilt). It really BLESSES me to see you look at the summer coming for inspiration. Sometimes you just have to lay down and rest.
